The frame is made with solid hardwood and takes a lot of time to get it right. A lot of sanding and layers of stain needs to be done. To select a different color clock hand, select the color in customizations. The HDD clock is displayed in a handmade solid hardwood display frame with a glass front pane. This is a very unique clock with actual computer hard drive . Please look at the pictures for further details on the quality. The Takane quartz clock movement uses a single AA battery (Not included) and made in the USA. If you don't know what to buy for that computer/techie person you know, you can't go wrong with a GigaClock. All clocks are individually built and crafted. They are not done by a machine and each one is different in some way. The outside dimensions are 5 5/8" x 2 3/4" x 7 5/8" and it weighs almost 3 lbs.
